Improv is storytelling, engaging the audience, drawing them into the world you create whilst simultaneously offering it out to them.
A beautiful flow of energy around the stage, through the fourth wall and into the auditorium. In this workshop we will be looking at the basics of stagecraft for such: projection, physicality, owning the space, working collaboratively and making bold choices. How to use the tools of the body to your best advantage. Aimed at, but not exclusive to, those improvisers who have not come from a drama school / performance background we will be working on acting techniques you can use to engage an audience and hold space. Open to improvisers of all abilities and physicality. Jodyanne' latest piece of work Questionable Behaviour is playing at this years festival on Saturday the 20th of April at 6:30pm in Unity 2 - Derek's MoJo - Questionable Behaviour |
