This is our first year of the short film competition – it has been established to allow members of the improv community to participate remotely. All films will be hosted on the LiF YouTube channel – all artistic rights are held by the participant and no financial gain will be made by LiF.
All films will go live on April the 5th and voting will close on the 18th of April – all competition winners work will be shown at the festival which takes place from the 19-20th of April in Liverpool at the Unity theatre.
You are free to create whatever you wish, although it must be improvised. This can be a solo (monologue), pairs (duologue) or group. The choice is yours.
The prizes will be voted for by an online poll.
Prizes:
1st place £50 in Amazon vouchers.
2nd Place £25 in Amazon vouchers.
3rd Place £10 in Amazon vouchers.

- All films must be shot in landscape.
- No editing – it must be shot in one continuous take.
- You can use your own naturalised language.
- All films must have subtitles.
- All films must be no less than one minute and no more than three minutes.
- No films which use hate speech will be included.[1]
- All films must be registered and uploaded by Friday March 29th, 2024. 11:59pm (GMT)
