Jen Hardy
Jen Hardy is an improviser and actor from the North West. Beginning her career as a teacher, Jen has a passion for working with young people, and currently works for a national children's charity as well as being a trustee for a children's inclusion and disability charity. Jen has been improvising for over seven years and has performed, taught and coached across the country, and has been coached by a range of improvisers such as Katy Schutte, Pippa Evans, Will Hines and Sebastian Conelli. As a disabled woman, Jen uses her experiences to write spoken word poetry which is being performed across the North West.

Ian Hayles
Ian is an Actor/Writer/Director/Improvisor who has been involved in the Improvisation scene in the Northwest for over twenty years.
Trained at LAMDA, Ian soon found his way into experiential and immersive theatre, eventually taking a place at The Wigan Pier Theatre company. He was a founder member of Liverpool’s Impropriety and its first Artistic lead, shaping the formative years of the company and training the founder members (and himself) in Improv performance and forms. After Impropriety he founded Casino Improv in Wigan, eventually finding a home base at The Old Courts where they produce monthly shows and special performances. Ian has taught at Rose Bruford and ALRA North, covering Improv and Spontaneity for the actor, Audition Technique, Mask and Clown as well as Directing productions of The Cherry Orchard, Female Transport and Citizenship, amongst others. |
Mark Smith
Mark is a multi-award-winning actor and director and has worked for over twenty-five years as a professional devisor, director, improviser, storyteller and workshop facilitator. He brings a wealth of knowledge in developing stories for the stage and he loves making things up spontaneously. His PhD is based on these very subjects.
Mark toured nationally and internationally (2004-2014) with the long form show called Hoof! Since then, he has developed numerous long form improv shows on behalf of Wing It – Impro & Stories and set up / curated the first edition of Liverpool improvisation festival which ran in April 2023 at the Unity theatre, Liverpool. |
Becky Webb
Becky is a clown and street theatre performer by trade and it is from this road, she discovered improv.
With her own company she has produced walkabout and street shows - including for Glastonbury Festival and Winchester Hat Fair - as well as working for companies such as Artemis Productions, Circus Malabaristas, The Bureau of Random Acts and Aardman Animations. As an improviser she has worked with various companies including The Hot Air Baboons (Bristol, UK), Impropriety (Liverpool, Uk) and Die-Nasty (Edmonton, Canada). She currently performs as part of a number of teams in the North West including Regular Job, Mystery Laugh and Road Trip. |
